About This Event

Spend a fall Saturday in downtown Stover at Stover’s Rock Island Festival, a community celebration bringing together local artisans, crafters, food vendors, live entertainment and visitors from across Central Missouri.


Festival activities include a KCBS-sanctioned backyard BBQ competition, car and motorcycle activities, a chili cook-off, pie contest, vendors, food and live music. The main festival takes place Saturday, October 10, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM.


The celebration actually gets started Friday evening, October 9, with a kickoff featuring food, drinks and live entertainment. Friday evening is restricted to guests 21 and older, while Saturday is the main family-friendly festival.
