About This Place
ABOUT
Willmore Lodge is one of Lake of the Ozarks’ most interesting historic stops and a great place to learn how the Lake came to be. Built in 1930 during construction of Bagnell Dam, the rustic lodge now houses the Bagnell Dam History Museum, the Lake of the Ozarks Visitor Center and the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
Visitors can explore exhibits about the construction of Bagnell Dam and the development of the Lake area, pick up maps and local information, or simply enjoy the scenic setting. Outside, a walking path leads toward lakeside gardens and a gazebo with beautiful views of the water, making Willmore Lodge worth a stop even after the rain clears.
